Exploring the English Gardens in Munich

At Munich we had some friends there which is Nicole, mum’s school friend, and her kids, Lucia and Oliver. We had to call Oliver from Nicole’s family Beaver and Oliver from our family Oli.

They took us all around Munich to see the Glockenspiel, and it was really fun. We also went to the church of the Devil’s Footprint and daddy’s foot fit in it so he is the Devil. After we went to see people surfing on a giant wave on a river in the English Garden. After that we went to go on a boat ride and some of the kids had to do the paddles and someone had to drive. The parents were in one boat and the kids were in another.

Aschau im Chiemgau

At Aschau we stayed at a holiday house of another friend called Nina and her family. She had four kids, three girls and one boy. One of the girls was Pia and she is my pen pal. We went to a big palace on a lake called Chiemsee on a island called Herreninsel. It had lots and lots of candles. The person who ruled the castle was called Ludwig and he always looked up to the French king and so he wanted his palace to look like the French king’s one.

At home we played with the kids. We would draw and sometime we would attack the boys. It was really fun.

Salzburg

The first thing we did at Salzburg was walk up a castle fort. You could see a lot of Salzburg. After the castle we went to a church. It had little statues of devils, ghosts and evil spirits. In the centre of town there is giant chess. We played it once. Another fun thing was going to a pretty garden with flowers everywhere. It had a big playground in the centre of it. We also went to a marionette show. It was the Sound of Music in English. We went to the church it was set at. One day we drove to Hallstatt and went on a chairlift. Halfway through you could only see cloud.

At Vienna the first thing we did was walked around and went to a food truck festival. I had pancakes for dinner. My topping was banana chocolate sauce. I also had cream and vanilla ice-cream. Then another fun thing was going to see the courtyard of a palace. It was all yellow and white. It was very big and tall. We did not go in the palace because it was expensive even for kids. There are a lot of fountains in Vienna. They are very big and have cold water. They are very detailed.

Near our apartment was a beach. We went there and I swam but Oli did not. The water was cold but nice. There was a playground right behind it. It had lots of fun things we have never done. On my birthday we went rafting and I had so much fun. I got a doll and a pen with money. I had the best birthday ever.
