On Tuesday we flew to Budapest. My favourite things was putting our feet in the water. We did that every day. It was really fun. Me and Oli usually played in the fountains which were nearby. Another favourite part was having cake for dinner because I could see how bad my parents were. We had cake for dinner twice.

We went on a river cruise with a tour where we could see mountains and statues etcetera.

For breakfast we usually went out for eggs and croissants. ¬†We got to see Parliament House but we couldn’t go in it because we didn’t book a tour.

We went to Buda Hill by a bus tour. It was empty when we got on the bus. We saw the changing of the guard at Buda castle. We went to see a church after. The roof was very colourful. I liked it. The inside was very pretty. On the columns there were pretty patterns of different colours. Then we went to lunch. I had nuggets and chips with the biggest lemonade. Oli and Dad had Hungarian sausage and a big lemonade, mummy had stuffed cabbages and a lemonade.

Next we went to the military museum. It had lots of mini lego things. They were all dressed up like army people. Then we went to the bath where you can put your feet in water and relax. We had an ice cream while we were doing that. Me and Oli had a hamburger for dinner and ate at home.

For breakfast next morning we went to a French breakfast place. I had a croissant. Oli had pancakes. Mummy had a croissant too and daddy had eggs. After, we went to a place made out of gingerbread house (it was probably just made out of plastic). You could press buttons which would either move something, shine a light or make sounds. It’s a little place with houses, like a mini city and there are different countries.

After, we went to a big place with the biggest column with knights standing all around it. It’s called Heroes Square. I thought it was very pretty. It was quite hot there and I was still running around. After that we went to a giant castle and inside the area is a pretty garden and big towers and I thought it was almost like a little town. It had a big lake in the middle of it. It was actually made out of wood to start with and then because people wanted it to be permanent they made it out of brick and stone.

We went to a fountain place and we played in the fountains. There were lots of little kiddiewinkles. I got so so wet.

Then we went to a big stage place where we could see folk dancing. There were lots of people doing it. Some of them were playing instruments and there was only one girl playing an instrument and the rest were doing dancing. The stage was very big and I got a doll from the shop. I was so tired that I couldn’t watch the whole thing and closed my eyes sometimes. After we went straight to bed.

The next day we went to a big hill where we saw the Liberty Statue. She was holding a palm leaf above her head. We got to see a really nice view of things. Then we went to a church. The church was built in a cave and it was very big. I thought it was really boring. We went to have lunch. I had a hot dog, Oli had a chicken wing. Mummy had beef and same did daddy. It was in a big market.

Then we went to a ruin bar. I thought it was really cool because there was this really good DJ person. He would beat box and then loop it and then he would play the electric guitar. He had headphones and what he wore was really black. A ruin bar is a big apartment that was destroyed and then people said ‘can I buy this place and make it into a bar’. And the dudes who were destroying the place said ‘yeah dude’.

The next day we woke up and went on the children’s railway. It’s called the children’s railway because the children run it. Mummy thought it was really cute that kids run it. I was sick that day with a cold. The kid on the train checked our tickets and we got off. Then we walked up to the chairlift. We went down the chair lift and mummy said she could see the bottom and then 30 minutes after we were at the bottom. After that we went for lunch. Mummy and daddy had a fried bread to share. I had a pancake and hotdog and Oli just had a hotdog. Then we went back to the same place for dinner.

The worst part of Hungary was getting a cold. I had to sleep on the couch and the first night I woke mum and dad up like 1000 times.

Amsterdam

We arrived at Amsterdam airport and got an Uber to take us to our apartment. Our apartment is very big and is very close to the water. We went for a walk and saw a big bird’s nest made out of sticks, a big box, paper and a coffee cup. In the nest there were two baby ducklings. We bumped into Charlotte and her parents and had a chat and then we went looking for beenies because Oli’s ears were getting cold and may get an infection. Then we saw a statue of a lady.

The next day we went to a park where we saw a mummy duck and baby ducklings. We were heading to the botanic gardens. We got to walk above the garden. It was really hot in some rooms. We got to see funny plants and also beautiful plants. At the botanic garden we found lots of cool animals like dragon flies and frogs. We went with Cath.

Then we went to a cafe. Daddy had tea, mummy had coffee, Oli had hot chocolate and I had lemonade. Next we went to a cat boat with lots of cute cats. There weren’t any kittens. There was grumpy cat and 2 cute cats and I got to pat one.

Next we went for a walk to go to Dam square. We saw a big arcade and I thought it looked really pretty. We took photos where you hold the phone near your belly and I took a photo of a fish sculpture. We got to see monks feeding pigeons. I thought it was really funny because they are monks and monks dress up weirdly.

After we went to Begijnhof which is a place for ladies. There was a really pretty, big garden. The place wasn’t actually open. We just went in without knowing. We were eating a hotdog at the time. We were with Cath Grey. Then we went to eat dinner and I liked the food there. It was seafood. After that we went home.

The next day in the morning we rented bikes and we all went for a bike ride around Vondelpark. Chryss, Dave, Cath, me, Oli, daddy and mummy came. The bike ride was really long and it was around water and we got to have a snack and drink near the water.

For lunch I had sushi from Foodhallen. It was salmon and avocado wrapped in seaweed in a cone shape and I had edamame. We went to a bar where we could play board games. We played a card game called Cheat. David literally won by so many points. We were taking really funny photos, mainly of me because I’m so funny. We had a very very very fun time.

After that we went to Westerpark. It has a real playground which I didn’t know. We got to have butterflies on our arm and hat and I thought it was really fun. There was a black bunny that was running all around and we tried to pat it but couldn’t as it was too fast. Then we had dinner in another seafood restaurant and we all shared one big bowl of clams and oysters and stuff.

In the morning we met all the people again for our last day. We got to rent a boat that we ate on. Me and Oli got to drive. Chryss and Dave were the navigators. Mummy was the food setter upperer. Me, Oli and daddy were the drivers. Cath gave us a tour. Cath was very bad at giving tours because she didn’t know much about it and was being funny. She was looking stuff up when she needed to but barely did any touring.

We dropped Cath off and then we all got off at a different place. We went to the Van Gogh museum. Just the family. We got to see stuff like his paintings. He did really cool paintings of himself. Then we went to dinner and I got spaghetti and same did Cath and Oli. I was mainly drawing and took pano’s that were really freaky like daddy’s head being cracked.

Then we got icecream and macaroon for dessert and then bedtime it was for us.

We flew off to Venice the next day.
